Here is the simple version: when you create a dWallet, your signing authority is split between two parties. You hold one share. The IKA network, made up of over 100 validator nodes, collectively holds the other. Signing a transaction requires both parties to participate.
No single party, not even IKA itself, ever holds or reconstructs the full private key. This is not a feature bolted on top. It is the fundamental architecture.
